The Clown Cars Are Emptying Out

First it's O'Malley conceding to reality and giving up his quest for the White House. Now we have Christie and Fiorina acknowledging the handwriting on the wall. Carson should be following shortly.

If my count is right that leaves Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Kasich and Bush on the Republican side. You have Hillary and Bernie for the Dems.

The permutations of the eventual nominees are fascinating. In a way, a Cruz/Clinton election would be interesting in that they're both skillful on the podium and polarizing to their own parties. Rubio's inexperience was highlighted by Christie in the last debate but he's the Republican's best hope for a traditional candidate to support. Trump has to be playing a scripted part; no one can honestly be that moronic, though I pointed out recently there are a great many more morons out there in the voting public than people with more discerning judgment.

On the Democratic side, they have to be having heart failure that the anointed one is tied with the socialist? I'm sure she'll prevail for the nomination but it would be interesting to see Sanders debate Trump. All he'd have to say is, "HE's the problem -- Trump wants tax cuts for himself paid for by everyone else. Who's in favor?" That would be good theater.

Tonight it's the liar and the commie emoticon

I wouldnt be so sure about Clinton, no body polls young people and they cant stand her, the numbers proved it out. It will be interesting to how Trump does outside of an all white state, as the drop out votes go to the remaining clowns. Nev is 46% white so Trump has already pissed off 54% of the state..

Disagree, Clinton said again and again what a great adviser she was to Obama, if I didnt know better Id come ou of that debate thinking she was nothing more than adviser. Would you hire her for a top job based on that? Also clinging to Obamas coat tails in hope of getting the black vote wont work. And dont tell me about her big endorsement, young people couldnt care less. And to my shock she still played the motha terressa role to "improve" young womens lives when the exit polls showed that was the number one thing that pissed off young women... stuck in the past Hillary

Once again, I didn't watch the Dems debate, but then again I really don't need to to know who the better candidate is. Anyone stupid enough to buy Hillary's crap deserves her. I wouldn't count out Bernie if I were you...as Hit said, he's got a BIG percentage of the youth vote. The unfortunate part there is that they are also the biggest segment of the population who routinely don't show up at the polls. But if they actually do turn out, they could end up tilting the balance for Bernie big time.

As for the Reps, I say thank GOD that we're finally weeding out some of the excess. Now maybe some of the flaws of the remaining candidates will begin to show more. Christie did a good job of chipping away at Rubio's façade. I can't understand who the hell is supporting Kasich. The man is delusional, but then he's from Ohio so it's hardly a surprise.

Jeb Bush has little chance given his surname, which really leaves it down to Trump and Cruz...a hell of a choice there. Actually, Cruz is only a little less delusional than Kasich but the ultra conservatives love him. And Trump is...well...Trump.

Oh, this is going to be a long several months!

And Trump said something true that even the Democrats have been too cowardly to state out loud -- that the lie about how Bush kept us safe kind of doesn't hold water when you realize that the worst terrorist attack in the history of the nation took place under his watch. They all seem to conveniently forget that little factoid.

I was also amused by the outright lies regarding presidents not appointing judges during their last term. They claim it hasn't been done in 80 years. It was done as recently as Reagan.

If you get a chance to see the reruns, do yourself a favor and watch John Oliver's program on HBO when it's in reruns this week. He eviscerates the people claiming that as well as the ones who claim voter ID is not about suppressing the vote.

Sorry, I know it won't go over well here, but I don't buy into the Bush bashing. Yes the 9/11 attacks happened during his Presidency, doesn't make him responsible for them. To say he "didn't keep us safe" is just bullshit...how could anyone have forseen something like that happening? And I'm sorry, but trying to tear down Jeb by throwing his whole family under the bus doesn't wash.

He had warnings...many warnings, my ex was in the Philippines and they had hard intel on the plans, Bush waved off the CIA and said "I dont get info from 3rd world countries". Even after 9/11 he made no real effort to get Bin Laden, I was over there and she showed me where he had a house and one of hi wives, it was common knowledge he was there visiting her but again Bush blew off intel from people he felt were inferior.
