Recently viewed movies/shows?

Just watched "I am number 4" the other night...pretty good sci/fy movie about a teenager from another planet living amongst us...It had the Superman/Smallville likability to it...Have a feeling that there will be a sequel eventually, since he's #4 (out of 9) with numbers 1, 2, 3 being killed by these warriors stalking them from his home planet...

Also during the free Showtime On Demand weekend, watched "The Canyon" about a couple from Chicago going on a trip down thru the Grand Canyon...Unfortunately for them, their guide led them astray; he gets bit by a rattlesnake, the rattlers scare off the mules, he dies and then they are left on their own to try to get back out of the Grand Canyon...Wasn't really my type of movie but it had Yvonne Strahovski in it so I watched it anyhow...

Never heard of her, but then I was never a Chuck fan.

Bec and I just recently watched "Once Upon A Texas Train" with Willie Nelson and Richard Widmark, about an old bandit let out of jail after 20 years who goes right back to his habit of robbing banks and the aging lawman and his cronies who go after him.

As a whole, it was a pretty weak movie but there was some outstanding work by a bunch of classic character actors including Chuck Connors, Jack Elam and Royal Dano that had me in stitches.

I may have to give up my guy credentials over this confession, but I've never once wanted to see a movie or TV show strictly because there was a particular actress in it. I lust in my heart with the best of them, but seeing some stranger on celluloid just doesn't do it for me.

it was a freebie weekend, and I didn't realize just how lame Showtime had gotten...watched the Canyon more because it was the least worst of the choices...just like I looked thru the Netflix directory on my son's playstation last night, I wasn't impressed...

I'll watch a movie because an actor/actress is in it, BUT it has to be one I'm interested in to start with. I won't watch one just for that.

Same here. I rarely watch JUST for a particular actor/actress, has to be a storyline I find enjoyable too. Though a performer whose work I respect will certainly peak my intrest.

Well, when you're talking talent and not prurient interest, De Niro will catch my attention, as will Hoffman, Nicholson and a few others, but I can't say I ever saw one of their films just because they were in it.
