The latest old movie I watched was the one that nearly sunk Universal Studios in 1969, Bob Fosse's first effort, "Sweet Charity". I can see the tell tale signs of Fosse style, but it was obviously not a well executed movie with some of the dance numbers just kind of dropped in without context. Furthermore, the ending of the movie goes totally against Hollywood script for trite and happy (though the DVD contained the alternate ending as well which was the formulaic one you'd have expected).
