Re:
I enjoyed Dark World. I think I liked the original more, I know I did but I found the sequel good too.

Re:
I loved Forrest Gump...hadn't seen it before but I'd certainly heard a lot about it. It definitely lived up to the hype. Both Tom Hanks and Gary Sinise were outstanding in it.

Re:
I saw Tom Hanks in Captain Phillips over the weekend...his performance was nothing to write home about.
I did catch a wonderfully weird movie I'd never heard of before -- Seven Psychopaths -- caught the last 2/3s of it and want to rent it to see what I'd missed.

Re:
I refused to allow my wife to watch Captain Phillips when I'm home...told her, if she was going to watch it, watch it while I was away at work...
by the way, the real Captain Phillips is from Underhill, VT which is like 5 miles from where I live so the media really made a big hoopla about it...

Re:
so during the day, I went and saw "Jersey Boys" (Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons story)...
tonight I watched "The Best Years of Our Lives" with my daughter...IMO, one of the best movies ever made...

Re:
"The Best Years of Our Lives" is so much more impactful when you realize that the guy without the hands was not an actor by trade.
How was "Jersey Boys"? I saw the stage play here in El Paso just recently. It was pretty awesome. I understand some of the stage cast was also used in the movie.
