Directv rules!

Had two billing issues of late, first I had 4 free Sunday Ticket (NFL) days offered, the first two were credited the next day. The last two weeks of the season they system required me to buy both at once, confusing the credit system, so I didnt get the $100 credit. Well it took 3 emails and a "specialist" to figure it out but they gave me the credit no problem.

Then I upgraded to the next package, $5 more a month, but saw a charge for $32! I just emailed them on a Sunday, and in about 30 minutes they fixed the problem.

not bad, not bad at all, (now if they would fix the system, well thats for another day)

We routinely get 60 mph winds here and perhaps once or twice a year for 10 minutes or so we have a problem with the signal. I'd put up with that in exchange for the superior picture, though I'm not so sure the customer service is any better. It seems they only care when you threaten to leave them.

I didnt make any threats, they have always been good to me.

VT, I lost signal I think twice in over 10 years after about 2 feet of snow piled up during a couple of blizzards in NY. Here we hit up to 100 mph winds and Ive never lost signal. Thats the cable BS myth emoticon

I've lost the signal in a blizzard for a few minutes but that's about it. Compared to the crap ass Customer service you get with Cable a few minutes is worth it. emoticon

Re: Directv rules!

I've never had Directv or Dish (although back in the very early 80's, we had a huge satellite dish in your driveway for the summer when my brother's friend was in the satellite dish business, long before Dish/Directv existed)...

However, when I was in Florida years ago, my brother in law had either dish or directv, and he'd occasionally lose the signal while we were there...

Ive noticed you tend to confuse the two, DISH is crap, horrible service, limited channels, no NFL package, limited HD channels and depending where you live you need TWO dishes to catch all the channels..
 emoticon

If you live in a place with lots of snow, simply have the dish installed on a SW corner of your house at broom level, meaning if you lose signal just take a broom and brush it off, thats what I did in NY.
