Mets foolishly protect AAAA players

And subsequently risk losing prospects in the Rule V draft:

Re:

I haven't looked at Guillorme's offensive numbers lately, but I read somewhere recently that he was supposedly the toughest guy to strike out in the Mets minors...

if he can be a contact hitter, while putting up a decent OBP and playing stellar defense, I could imagine him and Rosario making a solid DP combo for years to [sign in to see URL]'s gotta bat 8th right?

I can deal with a GG middle infielder not hitting for power, more than I can deal with Gomer Pyle (aka Nimmo) being a starting OFer...

Re:

When we say no power in regard to Guillorme he doesn't even have doubles power. In addition, he doesn't run. He's a porky little guy at 5'9" and 200 pounds.

Compared to him, Ruben Tejada is Babe Ruth. (And hr couldn't even stay in the majors once smarter managers than the Skipper didn't need to witness his ineptitude over a 6-year period to arrive at that conclusion).

I kind of see him as a Jose Oquendo [sign in to see URL] Oquendo was useless for the Mets, he had a pretty good career for the Cards...
