Sorry, but I can't get on the trade de Grom bandwagon. They're !@#$ on the fans regularly as it is, turning around and trading the only decent player we've got would, as Hit said, eliminate the only reason for even watching these days. Yes, I know, think of the future...sorry but that should've been done a few years ago. This front office doesn't know how to build for the future, they've got no concept of it, which is why if they did trade de Grom we'd likely end up getting crap for him and being sunk even further. I don't trust them to pull off a decent trade so I'd just assume they don't try.

If they cared about the fans they would have sh!tcanned the old man after his first two losing seasons. They would have cut Jose Reyes loose already. They'd have given opportunities to players who have a pulse (Justin Turner, for example).

They're running a business and this year's tickets are already sold. They need to look at what next year will bring in. How many people will be clamoring for Mets tickets after the kind of year they've had? On the other hand, if there's a huge influx of new blood people have something to see.

I think its fair to say TC is losing the clubhouse. The Mets crying about Puig is stupid when you cant back it up. Worst IF defense ever, terribly slow runners, weak up the middle, Conforto back to the bench while Reyes gets his SS back. Blah Blah Blah..

Get something for these FAs or roll the dice, how did Walker work out? Enough is enough

don't see why people are crying about Reyes playing short...it's not like he's taking anyone's job that can actually play the position that the GM feels is "ready"...if Sandy felt Rosario was "ready", Reyes would be on the bench or at 2nd...

We all know that Assdribble can't play short...we've seen it all season, just like other teams saw in the past...last season, he had something to prove, now he's just got the mobility of a tank...

I would love to see Rosario here (at least a month ago)...but I can't control their weird way of thinking (this is the team that drafted Gavin Cechinni over Corey Seager, Seager made the majors at age 21 and as a shortstop had 26 Homeruns and 71 XBH's at age 22)

Agreed on all counts, but that's still no reason to give up on the only decent player we've got, just on the off chance that we'll get something good in return. As I said, I don't trust them to know what's really good...their track record in trades hasn't exactly been sterling...so I don't trust them to play around with a commodity as valuable as de Grom.
